It's a bit frustrating because establishing a schedule with Layla is just not possible right now. I was lucky enough to be able to keep Noah while his parents were on their honeymoon for a week after the wedding, and now Layla and I have been spending time with Emma and Eli (cousins) for a week while their parents are on a mission trip in West Virginia. I LOVE getting to spend time with my niece and nephews, but I am also very ready to have one-on-one time with my little girl.
Today was Layla's four month check up. She is doing great!
Weight: 15 lbs 9 oz (50%)
Length: 24.25 inches (87%)
She is still amazing me every day. It's so much fun to get to spend time with her and watching her learn new things. She found her feet, which has made it a bit more difficult at bed time because she's more interested in those things than sleeping.
We got the go ahead to start solids (or cereal), but we are waiting until she is 6 months to start anything. Sometimes a touchy subject, I looked up why it is beneficial to wait to start solids, and you can find that information here. It's pretty interesting. It's really important to Zach and me that Layla only have breast milk until she is 6 months. Besides.....she doesn't really need any more food. :-)
